Dear Parents:

 

            We are grateful that you have chosen for your child to attend Brewton City Schools.  As you are aware, the annual out-of-district fee is $105.00 per family.  To better serve you, we will begin accepting your out-of-district payment the first Monday after school is out this year.  As usual, you may make this payment at any of the schools at which your children attend.  Because of the limitations of class sizes, we are asking that all out-of-district payments be made by Friday, August 1.  If we have not received your payment by this date, we will assume that your child will be attending the school in the attendance zone where you reside.  Because we do have families waiting to get their children in our schools, if we do not receive your payment by July 31, we will fill your child's slot with another out-of-district student.  Please help us and not disappoint your child by paying your out-of-district fee as early as possible.  If your family has moved inside the Brewton city limits, please call the school office so your child will not be removed from the roll and will have a teacher assignment on the first day of school.  This will help us as we plan for next school year.

 

            In addition, a Parent and Student Agreement for Out-of-District Students must be signed and returned.  Please discuss this agreement with you child so he/she will understand the responsibilities of appropriate behavior associated with this out-of-district privilege.
